It can be very daunting when faced with your final year of high school. If you are one of the fortunate ones, then perhaps you will be embarking on a tertiary education. Some, however, are not so lucky. A lot of children leave school and are forced into situations where they have to go and work straight after school. But who out there prepares these young children to fact the working world? Who paints a realistic picture for them to understand what they can expect?
I believe I can fill this gap. As an ex HR Executive and Director, I am an expert in what to expect. And it is my aim to create a workshop that teachers will be able to take to the classroom, to best prepare their students for what is out ‘there’. I also attend some schools myself, and do workshops to help them prepare mentally and emotionally for what is to come.
We dig deep in our workshops. I am passionate about helping children understand that they are the ones who create their own destinies. I teach them how to love themselves, how to believe that they are worthy of success and that no matter what life throws at them, they can always overcome. I give them practical tools to deal with the past, and how to not drag the past with them into the present or into their futures. Children are precious. Their minds are like sponges. They are our future leaders. They absorb what you tell them, so please be thoughtful when talking to a child – it can have a profound effect on their lives and the lives of others.
